I have decided I’m hard to define. But I’ll try…
I am a 50-something fairly new empty nester. That’s taking some getting used to. All those mom years of taking care of people. But I still have 2 dogs that need a lot of attention, so life isn’t really all that calmed down yet.
My day job is a web developer for IBM. Visual stuff mostly. I take the visual designs and make them come alive on the web. I did some math the other day. I’m a couple of years shy of having done this work for 20 years.
My focus outside of work is on organic gardening and the pursuit of real food. That means making a lot of stuff from scratch because our country’s food supply contains a lot of non-food. Poison to our systems, really. I have decided to devote the rest of my life to figuring out how to be kind to this planet we are living on, how to live in step with nature.
So, other than that I like to hike and kayak and walk my dogs and read and do anything creative, including photography. And especially writing. Most of all, I like to spend time with friends and family. If you read my blog, you may have figured all this out already. Gee, I probably don’t even need an about me page!
Life is good.
