Real Soda

qginger Tracey gave me this bottle of ginger ale for Christmas. She found it in Marshalls, in the specialty foods section. Here are the ingredients:

  • Carbonated Water
  • Organic Agave
  • Ginger Extract
  • Extracts of Lemon Juice
  • Coriander, Cardamom, Cayenne, Orange Peel
  • Rose Oil

Now, I am not a soda drinker. Soda is waaaaaay too sweet for me. And this does have 12 grams of sugar in 6 ounces.

But, this is the kind of a drink I would drink in place of wine or a mixed drink for pleasure. A special treat that you don’t suck down like water.

You actually really can’t suck this down like water. It has an ever-so-wonderful bite to it.

It’s really unbelievably good. I have to find myself some more.

There is a website which helps you track down its availability. I found that The Big Y in the next town over carries it, as does a health food store in another nearby town. I will be checking…

I loved reading the story behind the creation of this soda.

If you are a soda fan, I recommend tracking these sodas down. But do me a favor and view them as a treat, because sugar is sugar is sugar and too much sugar is not good for you.

A glass of this was my champagne on New Year’s eve.

Real food makes me smile.
