Shades of Blackie

Blackie used to lay under the forsythia bushes like Columbus is doing here. Only Blackie didn’t have to be tied up. He was a good boy and stayed in the yard even without an electronic collar.

Well, except for when I found out he was sneaking into the next door neighbor’s compost for food.

I guess it’s really hard to get a perfectly good dog.

When I looked outside and saw Columbus like this I had a flood of Blackie memories.

Good ol’ boy. Columbus is carrying on for you.
