Baking Bread, round 3

Well, here it is.  My third (I think?) attempt at a batch of bread. Isn’t it beautiful?

This time I added vital wheat gluten, since I was using all-purpose flour rather than bread flour.  Plus, I used a portion of barley flour.

The only complaint I have is it seemed to be too salty.  Or the vital wheat gluten (which is old, I’m going to get some new before I bake the bread again) threw the taste off.  Something wasn’t quite right for me.

I’ll keep trying!  Don’t want to be eating tons of bread, anyway, so it just may take me awhile to create the perfect loaf.
